8/25/2023 0 Comments R manga chivalry discussion![]() I get what your saying though, personally I didn't expect Sanji to even be able to keep up with Califa.kinda convenient. In regards to Zoro, he hasn't really fought much has he? He basically slept on the pirate ship, and then Lucci knocked both him and Luffy miles away. I did question about the sudden increase though Luffy did explain to Blueno that after observing them that he was able to pick up their super fast speed as well. Though i won' t deny it, the fighting scenes in this arc are incredible. he has really increased his fighting abilities to a huge extent, before water 7, he was never that great of a swordsman. But its like during water 7, they never stood a chance in hell against the CP9, now suddenly there on equal terms with them. Excluding luffy with his gear 2nd of course. Is it just me or did like all the straw hats suddenly become alot more skilled and stronger. Now that they know Robin wants to be with them, there is no holding back, and they are fighting at 100%.Įxcept for Sanji's perverted ass, who never ceases to piss me off, and Usopp, who I hope at SOME point eventually stops being a blatant coward. as Nami said to an enemy several episodes ago, one tends to hold back when they are unsure of something. Zoro commented several episodes ago on how they all got stronger without realizing it, but I think the main thing is. ![]() So I think its not a difference in strenght but more a difference in knowledge of the opponent. If you wathed Franky vs Blueno for the first time where Franky grabbed Blueno's face, you could already see they werent as invincible as they thought. They just were fighting half assed in water 7. Usopp left, Robin disappeared, and the CP9 uses skills they had never seen before. I dont think their much more powerfull, its just those CP9 guys caught them of guard. ![]() I'm sure there is going to be some flash back or something to explain at least the Gear power, but I was wondering about Zoro and crews abilities as well. Its weird because hes been with the crew members the whole time, he had no time to learn any new skills. Though i won't deny it, the fighting scenes in this arc are incredible.Īlso where did luffy learn these new abilities suddenly like gear 2nd. I don't think anyone is downplaying Sanji, he's been weak, but he's going to get strong now which is good to see.Is it just me or did like all the straw hats suddenly become alot more skilled and stronger. In the SBS, he did point out Sanji physically can't, so I think he made some mistakes in the Manga in conveying those intentions to the reader, and I guess that's why I've hated Sanji for a good while until now. When it comes down to it, I guess Sanji will make the right choice except it comes to fighting women in which he can't do anything. I guess some things don't quite play out the way the author intends in the Manga, and is far more effective in the Anime, so it's not so much shade on Sanji as a person, I think it's more of a case of Oda using Sanji as a gag in situations where it's a zero-sum-game depending on the medium he's showcasing it. In the Anime, it was actually something I found funny whereas in the Manga, it's annoying. that's a situation where hurting women wasn't the situation, would think he had the wherewithal and mental clarity to still have a functional brain. It's not a matter of choice.Īlthough, he did still leave the group to chase women whilst Momonosuke was kidnapped. Sanji physically cannot hurt women even if he wanted to. Click to expand.I don't think anyone is downplaying Sanji, he's been weak, but he's going to get strong now which is good to see.Īs for Sanji's antics with Women, I think Oda did a poor job explaining the situation.
